Annual Report Development

It also involved development of visibility documents including members’ brochures. Baseline Survey
Participatory Ecological Land Use Management (PELUM Association)
The assignment involved conducting baseline data from Seven Country Working Groups selected from the list of twelve to participate in this process. These Country Working groups include PELUM Kenya, PELUM Uganda, PELUM Tanzania, PELUM Zambia, PELUM Zimbabwe, PELUM Malawi and PELUM Eswatini.
The goal of the baseline survey was to provide background information against which Strengthening PELUM as a Regional Network for Promoting Agro ecology to Sustain Small Scale Farmers in Eastern and Southern Africa programme interventions will be monitored and assessed.
The objectives of this baseline survey sought to ascertain the current status and level of communication between and among Country working groups, the secretariat and the Member organizations; Establish both qualitative and quantitative baseline information for the indicators of which the programme will regularly measure the performance with regard to agro- ecological practices and gather necessary information regarding the situation and challenges on the ground to make appropriate implementation decisions to maximize efficiency, effectiveness and relevance of the programme.

Gender Audits

Conduct Gender Audit in 3 country platforms of Kenya, Cameroon and Madagascar. The Gender Audits is addressed to three members of the International Land Coalition Africa Platform in which World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) is a member. Gender Audit process is designed to capture both the programming and organizational characteristics and to serve as a useful tool which can be used by any organization, regardless of its current level of gender integration.

Gender Justice Charter

Develop Africa Gender Justice Charter and organize knowledge learning exchanges through webinar. The Gender Justice Charter is addressed to all the members of the International Land Coalition Africa Platform in which World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) is a member, who are invited to sign it, to make a commitment to the principles of gender justice, and to implement within their realm of action the commitments set out within the Charter.
